Monica Martin

Monica lives and works in Venice, on the island of Giudecca.

The lagoon is her Ithaca: a place of the soul and a constant point of reference in her artistic research. Her practice—spanning graphic art, painting, and ceramics—unfolds as an inner and poetic journey, nourished by the light, reflections, and quiet enchantment of this watery landscape.

Her studio, Itaca Art Studio, located within the fifteenth-century cloister of the former Convent of Saints Cosmas and Damian, is both a haven and a point of arrival. Monica Martin exhibits regularly in Italy and abroad. Her works are held in numerous public and private collections worldwide, including the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in Venice, the Ca’ la Ghironda Modern Art Museum in Zola Predosa (Bologna), the Museo delle Statue Stele Lunigianesi in Pontremoli, and the Museo della Grafica in Pisa.
